The first regenerative converter (AFE – Active Front End) for energy recovery in industrial machines dates back to 1995. Today, renewable energy sources provide a significant share of electricity consumption, but the goal is to move toward a distributed energy model built on energy efficiency, savings, self-production, and energy exchange. These are the challenges of tomorrow to be tackled challenges that will increasingly be digital, green, and sustainable.
